Richard and Katherine Front Page
This is the Jasper and Elizabeth (Brightwell) Kinnick family page.

Children of Jasper and Elizabeth Kinnick, perhaps others:

1. Jasper Kinnick (b. abt 1712, MD) married (?)

2. William Kinnick (b. Apr 1719, MD) married Sarah (?)

We still do not know where, with any certainty, Jasper came from nor when he arrived. Given the time and place of his first appearance in Maryland, it is most reasonable that he came from England and paid his own way (or it was paid by family in England). It is known that this is the likely status of a person arriving in America where is not a record of entry nor of indentured servant status, which would have most likely occured in the records.

His first appearance in American records is in Maryland land records, with his wife, Katherine Brightwell, in 1718.

He second appears as the named father of William Kinnick in 1733. The record does not indicate whether Jasper is dead or live at the time of the court proceedings. It is clear, however, that he is not present, and it is implied that he may be deceased because the 14 year old William is allowed to speak for himself in court.
