+Sam Stinson was born to Liz and Baker Stinson on 17 Mar 1893 at Mount Vernon TX.  He and Willie Habern were married 24 Dec 1916 at Harmony in Hopkins County TX.  Two children:

++Billie Lloyd Stinson born 5 May 1927
Sam made his living in the livestock business.  The family lived in Mount Vernon but owned land at Cypress, where Sam pastured his stock.  After Willie died, on 27 Aug 1942, Sam moved in with his widowed sister Hey Gilbreath.  He lived with her in Mount Vernon until his death on 9 Jan 1966.  Don Meredith's father was one of the pallbearers at Sam's funeral.  Sam and Willie are buried in Mount Vernon.

++Sam Stinson Jr was born to Sam and Willie Stinson on 28 Nov 1917 in Mount Vernon TX.  He was married briefly to the ex-wife of John Holland.  No children.  Sam died in February of 1984.  His last known address was in Fort Worth TX 76106.

++Billie Lloyd Stinson was born to Sam and Willie Stinson on 5 May 1927 in Mount Vernon TX.  He married Patsy Irby.  Two children:

The family lived in Monroe LA.  Bill died of cancer in April of 1974.  Patsy died in West Monroe LA on 9 Apr 1984.

+++Thomas Randall Stinson was born to Bill and Patsy Stinson on 21 Jun 1947 at Mount Vernon TX.  He and Shirley Risinger, a native of West Monroe LA, were married in 1971.  Two children:

+++Kenny Bill Stinson was born to Bill and Patsy Stinson on 10 Nov 1953 in Texarkana.  His wife was Libby McClendon.  One child:

Kenny and Libby divorced, and Kenny married Lori Richardson.

++++Mary Lea Stinson was born to Kenny Bill and Libby Stinson on 14 Sep 1977.  She and Gregory Dunn were married in September of 1997.
