Mary Frances King

Mary Frances Owens King , born 15 Jul 1915, is the wife of Hix Habern King, who was born 13 Dec 1914.   Hix was the youngest son of Wylie Xerxes "Jack" King. He and Frances were married in January of 1937.

The topic of Frances's poem "Tribute to Ancestors" is Pleasant Hill in Franklin County.  The setting of "The Parable of the Pear Tree" is the land Jim and Lou King owned adjacent to Pleasant Hill.  Their son Jack, and later his son Hix, inherited the land.
