Elsie Marie Etter died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, in Bristow, at the age of 90. She was born on Sept. 4, 1915, in Cushing, to Jack Pogue and Lou Ina Parrick Pogue. She moved to Bristow four years ago from Neodesha, Kan. Elsie was a homemaker and also worked as a waitress at the Gingham Girl Grill in Tulsa. She was of the Christian faith. Elsie loved to be around her family and enjoyed gardening.
Elsie is survived by one daughter, Barbara Lee, of Bristow; one sister, Bonnie Flowers, also of Bristow; three grandchildren, Ramona Vandever, Gary James and Ben Thompson, thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at the Schumacher Funeral Home Chapel in Bristow with Rev. Wayne Gemmill, pastor of the Bristow Christian Center, officiating. Interment followed at the Bristow City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home.
