Plus - Ruth as "Rosie the Riveter" during WWII

keep scrolling down

Cousin Ruth & MaryCarol are 1st cousins once removed. Our common ancestors were "Harve" Drewry & Nannie G. Bell. Ruth's Mother, May Bell Drewry Swindell, was a sister of my Grandfather, Flag Drewry.  Flag & May were children of "Harve" Drewry/Nannie Green Bell.  Sweet, kind Ruth has always been in my life from the time I can remember - she came out to San Diego abt 1947 I think. I have always called her "Aunt Ruth" because she is 5 yrs older than my mother. Ruth will be 96 this July (2009) and just might make it to 100!  Ruth is one of the truly good people of the world and so was her hubby, Gus Noebrega. As Flag & Pricie got older, Gus and Ruth kept an eye on them. Every day when Ruth would get home from work, she would call her Aunt Pricie and they would share the events of their days - lots of laughter going on. I remember being at my grandparents one day when the two where burning up the phone line. Afterwards my Grandmother said to me, "Don't tell your mother that Ruth and I talk, she would get angry".  Gus fixed things around the house for Pricie & Flag.  Ruth encluded her Aunt & Uncle at holidays at her home. Ruth has always reached out to help family members - she has earned her place in heaven - she is already an Angel!
