Lybarger, of the same county, who was born in 1784. They moved to Licking County
in 1810, and to this county in 1811. The Hains cabin was the third in the
township, Richard Sheltons being the first, and Ezra Hortons the second. Mr.
Hains died in 1863; his wife in 1849. They were the parents of eight children,
the subject of this sketch being the sixth. He married in 1843, to Miss Lucinda
Troutman, of this county, who was born in 1818, in Knox County, Ohio. They are
the parents of eleven children, nine of whom are living."

Medical Notes: As a result of a car accident where HF
was directing traffic after an ODOT truck accident, a car not paying attention
to the slowed traffic on the highway hit HF, throwing him [about 50] feet into
the air and landing him in a ditch next to the road. This accident apparently
triggered the dormant leukemia cells in HF's body, and began to run rampant and
killed HF within a few short months.
