  • Obituary: On Monday, 15 October 1956 Minnie Keefer Hunt's obituary was published in Huntington, Indiana: "Mrs. Minnie Keefer, 80, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Huston, 221 Market street, Andrews, where she had resided the last eight years. She had been bedfast three years and seriously ill two weeks. Mrs. Hunt was born October 29, 1875 in Huntington county to George and Mary Alerton Keefer. Survivors other than the daughter are a son, Donald Hunt, Yuma, Ariz; a granddaughter, Mrs. Ella Dowling, Yuma; six step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Cora Correll, of this city; and a niece, Mrs. William Moon, of this city. Mrs. Keefer was a member of the Andrews Methodist church. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday at the Deal funeral home, Andrews, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. O. S. Crain of the Andrews Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery." The following correction was later published: "Mrs. Minnie Keefer Hunt rather than Mrs. Minnie Keefer, previusly reported, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nova Huston, in Andrews. Friends may call at the Deal funeral home, Andrews, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday."2
