of PA and in Fairfield Co. 1848, she was 2nd wife. Ruth Nail, born 12-26-1788 in Sommerset Co. PA, died in
Monroeville IN 9-10-1864, married in Lancaster Co. 12-25-1807
4 The said Ruth Nail Fogleson was the child of Henry Nogle Nail, born 1755 in Chester Co. PA died in
Mansfield O. 1831, his wife Mary Tannehill born 7-24-1756 in MD, died in Mansfield Co. 1829, married
about 1786.
5 The said Mary Tannehil was the child of Samuel Tannehill, born 8-31-1731 in Freerick Co. MD, died in Morgantown,
W. Va. 1810, age 79 years., his wife Sarah Edmonston, born 1743 in MD, died in Morgantown W. Va (?) – married (?).
6 The said Sarah Edmonston was the child of Capt. James Edmonston, born 1689 in MD, died in MD 1753,
and his wife Mary Bell (BEALL) (married her cousin), bor 1704 in MD, died in MD.
7 The said Capt. James Edmonston was the child of Colonel Archibald Edmonston, died in Prince Geo. Co. MD 1734 and:
1st wife was Elizabeth Gordon of Scotland.
2nd wife was Ruth Moore
(1652-1707), daughter of Richard Moore of St. Mary's County, MD.
3rd wife was Jane Beall (daughter of Colonel Ninnian Beall, born 1668, died ____

8 The said Jane Beall was the child of Colonel Ninian Beall, born 1625 in Largo Fifeshire Scotland, died in Calvert Co.,
MD, and wife Elizabeth Magruder – 1689.
9 The said Elizabeth Magruder was the child of Colonel Samuel Magruder, born 1661, died in Prince Geo Co MD 1711,
married Sarah Beall daughter of Colonel Ninian Beall. She was born 1669, died in Prince Geo. Co. MD 1734.

2nd Magruder and states Ninian Ninian and Elizabeth Beall had two (2) children
Mary born 1704 was left 6 silver spoons in 1731 by mother Sara Bell Magruder.
Mary married her cousin Capt. James Edmonston, born 1689, died 1753.
The applicant is also eligible on the line of Captain James Edmonston, Colonel Archibald Admonston.
Colonel Samuel Magruder, and William Tannehill of Prince Geo. Co. Md. who was a Militiaman 10 years.
Colonel Ninian Beall’s record, is the ancester who assisted (Colonial Records) while in the cacaptiy of War Chief
Militia Officer of Calvert Co. Md. 1658 – High Sherrif and Colonel of Militia in 1694 – A. member of the general
assembly H.H.C. – about 1670.
In 1693 – made a Colonel.
See D.A.R. Magazine Sept. 1950 pg. 770 on Colonel Ninian Beall – says:
Colonel Ninian Beall member of assembly 1699 was born 1625 – died 1717 – age 92 years
A fine family – The Bealls – Tannehills came from Scotland, and intermarried so much so you see the line of
Bealls, Tannehills and Magruders are very much intermarried as these lines show.
