4. Boston DRAPER. was born January 1, 1719.
He married Tryphena Brown before a Justice of
the Peace in 1767. He died December
15, 1784 in Boxborough Ma., at 65 years of age.
Tryphena
was born in 1746. She was the daughter of Boaz and Mary Brown. Tryphena died January 11, 1829 in Boxborough
at 82 years. Boston and Tryphena's common gravestone still stands.

"The first record that we have of Boston Draper is found in a paragraph in the history of Lexington,
Ma.. It is
stated there, on page 380, that Boston Draper was a private in Capt. John Clapham's Company of troops furnished
in the year I759-60 from that town for the war between France and England in Canada."
"The next record is that he married, about the year 1767, Tryphena, daughter of Boaz Brown, who was the original
owner of the Draper homestead in Boxboro, at which the Continental soldiers assembled to start for Lexington in
the Revolutionary War. Miss Sarah M. Draper still has the punch-bowl from which they drank."

Boaz Brown b. Feb 20, 1705, d. Sept 24. 1772. He came early to Littleton, probably from Stow, and settled on land
afterwards included in the formation of Boxborough.
Children :1. Boaz d. 1758, killed in the Northern Expedition;
2. Aaron Edward married and had 4 or more children. His house was destroyed by fire and 3 children burned to death;
3.Tryphena.
3.Tryphena married Boston Draper, had child Samuel b. 2 years before their marriage and others given on p. 140. He
resided on one half of the homestead, Edward Brown on the other; Katharine Brown,
daughter of Edward and Mary Brown was born on Jan 1 1778. The Widow Hannah Brown
died Feb 1788 aged 83 Boaz Brown died the 24th of September 1772 aged
67 years 7 Months & 4 days)
N.B. Boaz
Brown is the Great Grandson of
Thomas and Bridget Brown of Concord
Mass.

It is also said
by tradition that Boston, after he attained manhood, sailed one voyage with his
father, Samuel, a reputed buccaneer.
N.B. There was a English amnesty
declared in 1723 for all Buccaneers, so it is probable that the voyage Boston sailed with his father was not as
a buccaneer as this would be well after the amnesty.
