Boaz
Brown DRAPER was born on Oct 16 1775 in Boxborough Mass.. He died in
Herkimer NY, Feb 21, 1845, at age 69. He moved to German Flats,
Herkimer, NY between 1810 and 1815. His daughter Olive was born in 1809
in Boxborough MA. His son Ari was born in 1815 in Herkimer.
Family Tree Maker notes a marriage between a
Boag (sic) Brown Draper and Sally Lowell, Dec 8, 1807 in Brookline New
Hampshire. (CD- Local and Family Histories, New England, 1600-1900)
His tombstone marker is in the Oak Hill cemetery in Herkimer NY. As he was
originally buried in the Old Village Cemetery it is not known whether
his body was moved with the stone when the cemetery was converted to a
park.
Boaz was married three times. The birth order and the mothers of some of
the children are uncertain.
Boaz Brown's wives were first: Sarah
White, the mother of Sallie; next: Sally Lowell, the mother of Olive; and last:
Alice Olive Meyers. Either Sally or Alice Olive could have been the mother of
the remaining children as there are no records to date to indicate their
mothers. Alice is believed to be the mother of Franklin who was born in 1822
Boaz and Sarah White were married Oct 29, 1795 in Boxborough Ma. Sarah is the
mother of Sallie according to Boxborough records.
