91. Mary Elizabeth DRAPER was born in June 7,1852 at Chittenango Station, Madison County NY . She died Jan 28, 1941 in Elm Mills, Barber, Kansas. She married James JACKSON, March 22, 1870. James was born August 1847 in Scotland. He died Feb 7, 1914 in Kansas City. Both were buried in Medicine Lodge Kansas. James age 22 came to the United States from Scotland in February 1869 with 2 brothers, John 19, and William (Willy) 17. They were farmers. They arrived in New York City on the ship RMS China on Feb. 12,1869. The captain of the ship was E. M. Hockly. That is the only record of James's brothers to date. James took up farming again in Chittenango Station, Madison County, New York. This is where he met and married Mary Elizabeth Draper. They were married Mar 22, 1870. They eventually moved to Oconto Nebraska by 1892. In 1902, James took most of his family to Saskatchewan, Canada to homestead near Prongua. They traveled by wagon train along with his brother-in-law, Charles Draper. He lived in Canada until 1913, when he became critically ill with Bright's disease. When his health improved his oldest son, Walter, came to Canada and brought his father back to Elm Mills, Kansas to live with him and his wife. He again became critically ill in Feb.1914 and was taken to Kansas City by Dr. Coleman but he didn't recover and died Feb.7,1914. He was buried in Medicine Lodge, Barber County, KS.
