28. Franklin DRAPER was born on Nov 12 1822 in Herkimer, , NY. He died on Sep 11 1880 in Alden Township, Hardin Co., IA. He was apparently the 2nd (or 3rd) child of Boaz Brown Draper's 3rd wife, Alice "Olive" Myers (some sources list a child Nancy not listed in DIA book). Possibly Nancy is the name of one wife? He was the Grandson of Boston Draper.

He would be full brother to Mary Ann, Benjamin, Ari, Elizabeth, John, Betsey, and Tryphena. He married Catherine Eliza Weber, 11/24/1846 in ? Herkimer, NY. She was born 2/19/1829 in Herkimer and died 12/26/1917 in Alden, Iowa.

They had 8 children. They moved to Iowa (via Batavia, Illinois and ? Wisc.?) about 1855.

"Franklin Draper came to Iowa Falls in 1855 and the year following settled in Alden. In 1857 he moved his family to a farm on section 14, (Alden Township) where he died in 1880."

Catherine Eliza WEBER was born on Feb 19 1829. She died on Dec 26 1917 in Alden, Hardin, IOWA. She was buried in Alden, Hardin, IOWA. Catherine Eliza Weber was the 5th of 9 children of James Weaver Weber and Nancy Smith Weber. Many of her children bear the names of her brothers (Frederick, William, James, and George W.).

Nancy Smith's father was Frederick Smith (1750-1822) who was a Corporal serving with the Tryon Co. (NY) militia in the Revolutionary War. Her mother was Christina Leathers (Myers?), (1756-1855)
