The Washburn Farm in Good Hope, Harrison County, WV

This is a picture of an old shed on Washburn property that was build by Lemuel C. Washburn and his son Anson Luther Washburn circa 1820. Anson Luther fought in the Civil War for West Virginia infantry. This picture was taken in 1992 when about 100 surrounding acres still remained in the Washburn family since the 1770's. The immediate acreage was unfortunately sold and the shed destroyed about a year later. .
