Cyrus Washburn is the great-grandson of Charles Washburn who lost his life to the Indian Wars in Harrison County, West Virginia. Cyrus left his family home in Harrison County and moved to Ritchie County where he raised 8 children through his lifetime. Many of his descendents still live in Ritchie County and nearby Wood County. Cyrus Washburn's (pictured above) daughter, Cora Washburn, married Harrison Wass's (also pictured above) son, Charles Wass.
