FOR NAN STAMBAUGH
Mrs. Nancy Jane Stambaugh, 89, widow of John T. Stambaugh,
died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. M. Davis, Kerz, at
7:00 a.m. Friday, October 18,(1957) following an illness of
five years.
The daughter of the late Miller and Sarah Daniel Fairchild,
she was born in this county October 28, 1867.
Survivors include four children; three sons, Monroe
Stambaugh, Ashland; Millard Stambaugh, Catlettsburg; Jeffie,
Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. W. M. Davis, Kerz.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters; Ezra
Fairchild, Ashland, Johnnie Fairchild, Lad. W. Va., Mrs.
Susie Murray and Mrs. Emma Murrey, both of Ashland, Mrs.
Ollie Lemaster, Kerz, and Mrs. Alice Green, Chandlerville.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, October 20, at 11:00
at the Sugar Grove Church at Kerz with Lonzo Reed, Cullie
Sparks and O.I. Williams as officiating ministers.
Burial was in the family cemetery on Franks Creek.
