Julius Spears, 78, of River, died July 31, at 11:30 a.m. in a local
hospital.
  
Mr. Spears was born March 25, 1869.
  
Funeral services were conducted at the River Baptist Church on
August 2, at 2 p.m. by Revs. Leonard Walters and Germ Walters.
  
Besides his wife, he is survived by 12 stepchildren. a son, Capt.
Arbie Spears, died March 31, of this year.
