GEORGE SLONE Services Thursday for George Slone Funeral services were held Thursday at the Frank’s Creek Baptist Church for George Slone, 65, who died Tuesday Morning, of a heart attack at his home at Winifred. He had been in ill health for the past four years. Born January 21, 1890, at Winifred, he was the son of the late George and Martha Lemaster Slone. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Cora Castle Slone. Four sons, Dennis Slone, Dayton, Ohio, Wayne Slone, Springfield, Ohio, Clyde and James  Slone, both of Winifred; three daughters Mrs. Clifford Hughes, city, Mrs. Estill Ratliff. Chillicothe, Ohio and Mrs. Leslie Wheeler, Walbridge, Ohio,; one brother John Slone, Ashland and one sister Mrs. Minnie Pennington, also of Ashland. Burial was made in the Lemaster Cemetery under the direction of the Preston Funeral home. PAINTSVILLE HERALD 11-30-1955
