WAITMAN PRESTON 1900-1957 Waitman Preston Dies Suddenly Of Heart Attack Waitman Preston, 57, well-known carpenter of River, died of a heart attack at 7:40 a.m., Tuesday, September 24. The fatal seizure occurred suddenly while he was at work. A lifelong resident of River, he was born in that community April 20, 1900, the son of Will and Myrtle Spears Preston. He was a member of the United Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dora Lynn Preston; seven children; five sons, Curtis, Dayton, Ohio; Kenneth, Huntington, W. Va.; Bobby Jean, Dayton, Ohio; Donald, Dayton, Ohio; Thomas, River; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Davis, City, Miss Betty Preston, River; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Barbara Franklin, River; Mrs. Margie Daniels, River; Mrs. Irene Parson, Catlettsburg; Stella Preston, Catlettsburg; Herman, River; Raymond, Boons Camp; Victor, Wharton, W. Va., Homer, Dayton, Ohio; Paul, Dayton, Ohio; and Junior, Dayton, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted from the River United Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26, with Revs. C. J.
