NANCY J HAMILTON
1899-1950
Mrs. Nancy Skaggs Hamilton, 50 died at 1:50 p.m., Sunday, June 18,
at a local hospital, after an illness of one year.
She was born in Morgan County, October 24, 1899, the daughter of
William and Ann Ison Skaggs.
In 1924, she was married to John J. Hamilton, who survives. She had
been a resident of Red Bush for the past 26 years, where she was a
member of the Regular Baptist Church.
Other survivors include three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Genevieve
Lyons, Keaton, KY., Arlene Hamilton, Paintsville, Estene Hamilton,
Red Bush, Fred Hamilton and William Hamilton, both of Red Bush.
Also surviving are two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Cynthia
Bradley, and Miss Phoebe Skaggs, both of Fairborn, Ohio, and Lee
Skaggs, Crockett, KY.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, at the
home of Emory Hamilton at Keaton, KY., by the Revs. Tommie Bailey,
Robie Ferguson and Lonza Reed.
Burial was in the family cemetery under the direction of the
Paintsville Funeral Home.
