OPAL DANIELS
Paintsville resident Opal Daniels, 65 died July 3 1982 in
Highlands Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 14, 1917 in Johnson County, the daughter of
James and Bessie Newcomb Fraley.
Survivors include one son, Pete Daniels, Paintsville, six
daughters, Stella Howard, Peggy Daniels, Marie Daniels and Debbie
Daniels, all of Paintsville, Geraldine Daniels, U. S. Army, and
Betty Blanton, Dayton, Ohio; four brothers, Ruel Fraley,
Paintsville, Dewey Fraley, Michigan, George Fraley, Cho, Mich.,
and Homer Fraley, Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Liz Whittaker,
Paintsville, Catherine Davis, Wittensville, and Gypsy Lyons,
Springfield, Ohio, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 6, in the Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel with Bruce Daniels and James Kelly Caudill
officiating.
Burial was in the family cemetery at Thealka.
Note: This cemetery is also known as the "Fraley Cemetery" at
Thealka.
