WINFREY WARD CAUDILL
FUNERAL SERVICES were conducted at the Freewill Baptist Church in Salyersville at 2:00 p. m., Saturday, January 13, for Winfrey Ward Caudill, 45, resdient of Wheelersburg, who died in a hospital in this city at 9:20 p. m., Wednesday, January 10 1951 after a four-day illness due to a heart condition from which he had suffered for the past five years.
A well known drilling contractor, he was a prominent figure in the oil and gas fields in this area where he had worked for the past sixteen years.
The large crowd assembled to pay its final tribute was evidence of the high esteem in which he was held by his friends and associates.
Born in Magoffin County, December 21, 1905, he was the son of Millard and Nannie Ward Caudill, residents of Burning Fork, KY.
He was married December 24, 1926, at Oil Springs to Miss Ruie Rice who survives him.
To his family he was a patient and loving husband and father, always mindful of the little things that go into every-day living which made of his home
