EDNA BURKE Funeral Services Saturday for Mrs. Edna Burke   Funeral Services were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. for Mrs. Edna Burke, 40, who died at her home at Collista January 13, after a five day illness with pneumonia. Born in Johnson Co, on June 23, 1908, she was the daughter of Mr and Mrs. T.J. Welch and had resided here most of her life. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Carl Burke, and five sons and one daughter, John Cecil, Samuel LeRoy, Billy Francis, Morris Thomas, Earl and Mary Margaret. One sister and one brother, Mrs. Virgie Conley and Hobart Welch all of Collista. Services were conducted by Rev. Walter Pack at the Collista Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was made in the Hager Hill Cemetery under the direction of Preston Funeral Home. Paintsville Herald Thursday 1-20-1949
