MARGIE ALICE BURCHETT 1917-1998 Margie Alice Burchett, 81, died Wednesday, August 12, 1998 at UK Medical Center, Lexington, Ky. Mrs. Burchett was born January 31, 1917, in Johnson County, to the late Orie and Belva Boggs McKenzie. She was a teacher/librarian at Paintsville City Schools. She was also preceded in death by her husband Harry Burchett on July 27, 1996. Surviving are two sons, Leon Burchett of Paintsville and Dr. Troy Burchett of Morehead; two brothers, Jim McKenzie of Ashland and Tom McKenzie of St.John, Indiana; two sisters, Bernice Ferguson of Flat Gap and Audrey Jones of Mt. Sterling; and five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, August 14, at Jones- Preston Funeral Home, with Bill Underwood officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville.
