HERMAN BURCHETT
Herman Burchett, age 80, of Jenkins, Ky., passed from this life on
Sunday, October 5, 1975 at the Providence Hospital, Cincinnati,
Ohio. He was the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth “Lizzie”
Chandler Burchett, born January 7, 1895 in Johnson County, Ohio.
Herman was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Minnie
Stambaugh Burchett in May, 1973.
Also preceding him in death were three sons, John Morgan Burchett,
Francis Marion Burchett, and Willard Burchett.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Elizabeth Nash of Grayson,
Ky.; Jimmie Ann Farley of Jenkins, Ky.; Donna Sue Howington and
Nancy Lou Mullins of Cincinnati, Ohio; one son, Edwin Price
Burchett of Cincinnati, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Patrick of Nippa, Ky.;
Emily Music of East Point, Ky.; one brother, Isaac Burchett of
Wittensville, Kentucky.
Mr. Burchett was a member of the Jenkins Christian Church,
Jenkins, Ky.
Funeral services were held at the Jenkins Christian Church on
Tuesday, October 7, 1975 at 11:00 a.m. John Owston and Phillip Lee
were the officiating ministers.
Burial in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Staffordsville, Ky.
Polly and Craft Funeral Home in Jenkins, Ky. in charge of
arrangements.
