FINETTA R. BOND
Aged Resident Dies Sunday At Red Bush
Mrs. Finetta R. Bond, 86, one of Johnson County's best beloved women, died at her home at Red Bush at 2:20 p.m. Sunday, November 18, following an illness of several weeks.
She was the mother of Guy Bond of this city. The daughter of the late William and Hannah Cox, she was born in Virginia June 4, 1870.
She was the widow of J. D. Bond, who preceded her in death twenty-one years ago.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ben Cox, of this city.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and her consecrated life of Christian devotion was a source of inspiration to her family and friends. Her long life was blessed with spiritual wealth, and her days were made rich and full by her capacity for unselfish service to others. She was a kind and gracious woman beloved by her neighbors and endowed with compassion and sympathetic understanding which endeared her to all who knew her.
Surviving besides her son, Guy, are two other sons, Ogden of Shepherd, Michigan, and Don of Red Bush; three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Williams, Mrs. Bertie Holbrook and Mrs. Macie ___.
