THELMA BOGGUS Thelma Boggus, 85, of Paintsville, died Friday, February 21, 1997 at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Floyd Co Ky. She was born March 5,1911, in Pippa Passes, the daughter of Manuel Slone and Mary Jacobs. She is preceded in death by both parents; first husband, Louie Rice; second husband, Spencer Boggus; one daughter, Mary Edith VanHoose and one grandchild Melanie Lynn Welch. She is survived by one son, Robert M. Rice; five grandchildren, three-great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Services were Sunday, February 23 at 1 p.m. at the gravesite with Rev. Jim McKenzie officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home. Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery in Paintsville.
