WALTER BLANTON 1914-1993 Paintsville funeral home was in charge of arrangements for Walter Blanton, 78, who died thursday, september 16 1993 in paul b. Hall regional medical center.
Mr. Blanton was born November 7, 1914 in Johnson County, the son of the late Henry and Rebecca Fairchild Blanton. He was retired from Fishel Company of Columbus, Ohio, where he was a road constructor. He was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Williams Blanton, in 1991. Surviving are two daughters, Helen Spencer and Edna Spencer, both of Thealka: one brother, Estill "Buster" Blanton of Falcon; two sisters, Sina Blair of Oil Springs and Carrie Conley of Nippa; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday September 19 in Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel, with Revs. Charles Stapleton and Delbert Music officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Thealka.
