BESSIE BLAIR Staffordsville resident Bessie Ratliff Blair, 80, died Tuesday,  July 14, 1998 at her residence. Mrs. Blair was born January 23, 1918, in Johnson County, to the late Dennie and Rhoda Blair Ratliff. She was a member of the Jennys Creek United Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Herbert  Blair, in 1983. Surviving are one son, Alvin Blair of Barnetts Creek; one  daughter, Janie Blair Roman of Paintsville; one brother, Guy Ratliff of Barnetts Creek; one sister, Tressie. Robinson of Barnetts Creek; and three, grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Thursday, July 16, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Jerry Colvin and Rutherford Blair officiating. Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at  Staffordville.
