RITES AT AUXIER FOR JOHNSON MAN
James Mitchell Perry, 59, died in a local hospital at 12:10 am.,
November 10, 1950 after an illness of one year.
He was born May 26, 1891, in Johnson County, and was the son of
William Everett and Amy Freeman Perry.
A retired miner he had been a resident of Johnson County for 30
years.
His wife preceded him in death October 20, 1949.
Surviving sons are: Herman, Auxier; Everett, Detroit; James,
Jr.., Lima, Ohio; Howard, Detroit, Jackie, Lima; and Harry Randall
Perry, Ligon, KY.
Surviving are daughters: Mrs. Lillian Polly, Hellier, KY., Mrs.
Dorothy Baldridge, Auxier, Joan Cummins, Madison, Wisc; Mrs.
Billie Reynold, Ligon; Miss Roberta Perry, Auxier, Mrs. Alice
Virginia Crum, Dayton; Miss Janet Perry, West VA Lear; Miss Linda
Perry,, Detroit. Also surviving are three brothers and two
sisters; Jeff Perry, West Van Lear; Ray Perry, Prestonsburg; John
Perry, Oak Hill, West Va., Mrs. Nancy Webb, Whitehouse; Mrs.
Louise Delaney, Whitehouse.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, November 12,
at the Methodist Church, Auxier, with the Rev. S.C. Honeycutt
officiating.
Burial followed in the Ward Cemetery, River under the direction of
the Jones Funeral home.
