EDWARD LAVENDER

Edward P. "Toby" Lavender, 87, died February 10 1984 in
Magoffin County Health Care Center, Salyersville, Ky.
  
He was born Jul.08 1896, in Johnson County, Ky, the son
of John and Susan Castle Lavender.
  
He was a resident of Paintsville and a retired employee
of Meade Company and the Big Sandy Hardware.
  
His wife, Grace Lemaster Lavender, preceded him in death
in 1962.
  
Surviving are a son,Stephen W. Lavender,Delaware, Ohio:
three daughters,Mariann Wallen,Clarksville Tenn, Edith
Kays, Madison, Ind. and Kitty B. Preston, Ypsilanti,
Mich: 19 grandchildren 26 great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held February 13 in Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel with C.C. Hall, Dick Vanhoose, Ellis
Hamilton and J.R. Conley officiating.
  
Burial was in Tom Williams Cemetery, Oil Springs.
