C. R. Brown, 77, died Thursday, Mar 4, in Ft. Pierce Memorial
Hospital in Ft. Pierce, FL.
  
He was born March 15, 1898, in IN, and was the son of Cisco H. and
Theodosia Brown. He was a retired salesman, a member of the Methodist
Church and the Masonic Lodge.
  
Surviving are his wife, Maymie Walker Brown and a sister, Mrs. Vivian
Allen of Martinsville, IN.
  
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 7, in the Paintsville
Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Woodrow Church and Mabry Holbrook
officiating.
  
Burial was in the Mayo Memorial Cemetery at Paintsville with
Paintsville Funeral Home handling arrangements.
  
Active pallbearers were Bob Cantrell, James D. Daniel, Vern P. Horne,
Charles O, Wheeler, Jr., Oscar T. Dorton, Hershell VanHoose, Charles
A. Daniel and Troy Music. Honorary pallbearers were Jesse Burchett,
Ray Conley, K. B. Williams, T. C. Meade, Otto Pratt, Robert Shreve,
Irvin Arrowood, John King, Virgil Price, Charles Williams, Pat
Walker, Dr. Paul B. Hall, Charles M. Wells and J. H. Pelphrey.
