THOMAS BLAIR
1906-1962
Thomas Blair, 55, resident of this city, died suddenly of a heart
attack at the home of his sister, Mrs. Vera VanHoose, at 1:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 13.
The son of Harrison and Lottie Clay Blair, he was born in this county
on June 30, 1906, and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
He was employed as a driller.
Also surviving are two other sisters, Mrs. Golda VanHoose and Mrs.
Tera Nelson, both of this city; two brothers, Bruce Blair, Water Gap,
Drice Blair, Volga.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Third
Street Freewill Baptist church with Millard VanHoose and F.
S.VanHoose as officiating ministers.
Burial was in the Mayo Cemetery.
