BEN H. YOUNG
1890-1964
Ben H. Young, 73, resident of Offutt, died at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Wince Walters, Williamsport, at 2:50 am, Thursday,
March 26, after an illness of three weeks.
A resident of Offutt for 38 years he was born at Ulysses, October
22, 1890, a son of John and Matildia Pack Young.
His wife, Mollie Cordial Young, preceded him in death on October
4, 1936.
Surviving are three sons, Columbus and Walter Young, Flint,
Michigan; Hershel Young, Offutt; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl
Walters, Williamsport; Mrs. Daisy Pruitt, Flint, Michigan; Mrs.
Dorothy Brown, Springfield, Ohio; one brother, Maywood Young,
Deboard.
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 am, Saturday at the Old
Friendship United Baptist Church, Williamsport, with Cully Sparks
and Nim Sturgill as officiating ministers.
Burial was in the family cemetery at Offutt.
