CHARLES OTIS WILSON 1930-1960 Otis Wilson, 30 Killed Thursday In Slate Fall Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Sunday for Charles Otis Wilson, 30, who was killed in a slate fall in a coal mine at Offutt January 28 1960 at 11:00 a.m. The son of James and Emma Murphy Wilson of Offutt, he was born February 1 1930, at Offutt and had lived there most of his life with the exception of some time spent in Detroit where he was employed as a factory worker. Surviving besides his parents are his wife, Gladys Casto Wilson, to whom he was married December 19 1956, in Clay, W. Va. Also surviving are four brothers, Cecil Wilson, Staffordsville; Thomas Wilson, Boons Camp; Henry Wilson, Detriot, Michigan; James H. Wilson, Long Island, N.Y.; four sisters, Mrs. Otto Price, Freeburn; Mrs. Ernest Ward, River; Miss Imogene Wilson, Offutt; Mrs. Henry Hensley, White House. Services were held at the home of his parents with Claude Preston as officiating minister. Music was by the Staffordsville Quartet. Burial was in the Gambill Cemetery at River.
