DENNIS WILLIAMS 1896-1963 Dennis Williams, Retired Miner, Dies January 2 Dennis Williams, 66, retired miner of Staffordsville, died in a local hospital at 9:18 a.m., Wednesday, January 2, after an illness of a year. The son of James Williams of Springfield, Ohio, and the late Serena Saylor Williams, he was born in this county, January 25, 1896, and had lived at Staffordsville for the past eighteen years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Lemaster Williams. Surviving besides his father are three sons, James Williams, Sitka; Tollie Williams, Staffordsville; Dennis Williams, Jr., Springfield, Ohio; two daughters, Irma Williams, Lima, Ohio; Mabel Collie, Springfield, Ohio; two brothers, Lindsey Williams, Staffordsville; Ollie Williams, Oil Springs; three sisters, Pearl Farson, Ashland; Esta Saylor, Urbana, Ohio; Ethel Jackson, Oil Springs. Funeral services were conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m., at the Staffordsville Freewill Baptist Church with Claude Preston and Scott Castle as officiating ministers. Music was by the Staffordsville Quartet. Burial was in the family cemetery at Swamp Branch. Paintsville Herald Wednesday 1-9-1963
