BERT WILLIAMS

Bert Williams, 86, of Paintsville, died Saturday Jun.30 2001
at his home.
  
Mr. Williams was born June 17, 1915, in Johnson County, a
son of the late Beverly Williams and
Flora Caudill Williams Smith.
  
He was retired from the state highway department and an
Army veteran.
  
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Griffith Williams
in 1984; and a daughter, Betty O'Bryan.
  
Surviving are two daughters, Wanda Sublett of Paintsville
and Susie Edwards of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; a brother,
Edgar Williams of Springfield, Ohio; eight grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Ethel Hale.
  
The funeral was held at 1 p.m. today at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home in Paintsville by James Kelly Caudill.
  
Burial was in Jayne Cemetery in Staffordsville.
