Dale D. Wells, 47, of Van Lear, died Saturday, March 11, at his
residence.
  
Born Sept. 24, 1958, in Johnson County, he was a son of Ruth
Bowling Wells of Indiana, Penn., and the late Rollan Wells.
  
He was a coal miner. He was also preceded in death by a brother,
Nevard Lee Wells.
  
Additional survivors include a son, Dale D. Wells Jr. of
Frankfort; a daughter, Holly Gabrielle Wells of Offutt; a brother,
Larry Joe Wells of Van Lear; and two sisters, Carol Yvonne Wells
May of Indiana, Penn. and Brenda Kay Wells of Florida.
  
Funeral services were Tuesday, March 14, at Phelps and Son Funeral
Home, Paintsville, with Roger Hill officiating.
  
Burial was in Wells Family Cemetery, Van Lear, under direction of
Phelps and Son Funeral Home.
