WILEY WARD
1904-1986
Retired farmer and teacher Wiley Ward, 81, died Friday, May 16, at
his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Ward was born December 1, 1904, at Boons Camp, the son of BISH
and MARTHA BRANHAM WARD.
Surviving are his wife, Velma Wheeler Ward, who he married at
Williamson, WV in 1932; a son, Daniel Keith Ward of Michigan; a
daughter, Phyllis Burton of Los Angeles, CA; a brother and three
sisters, Ashley Ward, Nellie Mollette, Elna buster and Billie E.
Ward, all of Boons Camp.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 19, in Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Tommy Bailey and Lonza Reed officiating.
Burial was in Camant (Old Fields) Cemetery at Flat Gap.
Pallbearers were Myron Evans, James Troy Hall, Herbert Harris,
Scottie Harris, Charles Eugene McKenzie, Ocie Murray, Bish Ward III
and Clyde Wheeler.
