ERNEST WALTERS Long Illness Ernest Walters, 66, formerly of Boons Camp, died Thursday, March 13, 1947, at his home in Genoa, W. Va., of a long illness from tuberculosis. Mr. Walters had lived at Boons Camp all his life except for a few months spent in Arizona during the past year. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Walters, five daughters, and three sons: Mrs. Glen Arrowood, Rodney, W. Va., Mrs. Geo. Dutton, Huntington, W. Va., Mrs. Ivan Sammons, Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Elzie Staniford, Phoenix, Ariz., and Miss Alka Walters, Tempe, Ariz., Allen Walters and Edgar Walters, Phoenix, Ariz., and Lee Walters of Tempe, Ariz. He is survived also by his mother, Mrs. Nannie Walters, Williamsport; two sisters and five brothers, Mrs. Martha Preston and Mrs. Lizzie Williams, Boons Camp, John, Tolbert and Wellington of Williamsport, Lafe, Lando Mines, W. Va., and Charlie of Jewell Valley, Va. Mr. Walters was a member of the Fellowship of United Baptist of Boons Camp. Funeral services were held at Boons Camp on Sunday, March 16, 1947, at 11 a.m. by Rev. Winfrey Meek, Rev. Leonard Arrowood, and Rev. Leonard Walters. Burial was in the family cemetery at Boons Camp.
