Heart Attack Fatal To White House Man
Services Held Saturday
For Zelph Van Hoose

Zelph Van Hoose, 59, retired miner of White House, died at his home
at 9:30 p. m., November 20, after a two-year illness. Death was
attributed to a heart attack.

A native of Johnson County, he was born April 18, 1892, the son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Van Hoose.

He was a member of the U. M. W. A. and also a member of the
Enterprise Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lucie Van Hoose, and one daughter, Mrs.
Marcus Butcher, Freeze Fork, W. Va., Surviving also are a sister,
Mrs. Den Welch, Borderland, W. Va., and a brother, Willie Van
Hoose, Louisa, Ky.

Funeral services were conducted at the White House Church at 10:30
a. m., Saturday by Revs. Grover Fannin and Merida Wiley.

Burial was in the Osborne Cemetery at White House under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
