OMA THOMPSON 1884-1984 Mrs. Oma Thompson, 99, died September 14, in Riverview Manor Nursing Home, Prestonsburg, after an extended illness. Born September 26, 1884 in Johnson County. Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of Harve and Elizabeth Ratliff Blanton. She was a resident of Paintsville and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Her husband, Willard Thompson, preceded her in death September 21, 1963. Surviving are three sons, Ernest Thompson, Winchester, Harold and Curtis Thompson, Paintsville; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy (Wayne) Blevins, Paintsville; 16 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held September 8 in Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tobe Wheeler officiating. Burial was in Jaynes Cemetery at Staffordsville under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home. Paintsville Herald Wednesday September 19, 1984.
