William Reece Tackett, 65, of Stanville, died Thursday, June 16,
2005 at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
Born Aug. 4, 1939, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late
Herschel and Ethel Frazier Tackett. He was a maintenance worker.
Survivors include three sons, William Tackett of Auxier, Reese
Tackett of Staffordsville, and Herschel Tackett of Thealka; three
step-sons, Buddy Osborne of Paintsville, John Osborne of Van Lear,
and James Robinette of Salyersville; two daughters, Anna Hunt of
Stanville and Darlene Mollette of Auxier; three step- daughters,
Tammy Burchett of Stambaugh, Ethel Estepp of Mud Creek, and Cathy
Winters of Michigan; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, June 20, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Virgil Hunt, Jack Hunt, and Mark
Hunt officiating.
Burial will be in Jayne Cemetery, Staffordsville, under direction
of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
