FLOYD TACKETT 1885-1959 Floyd Tackett, 74, well-known Staffordsville resident, died in a local hospital Thursday, March 12, 1959 at 10:00 p.m., following a brief illness. The son of the late Lewis and Cynthia Lemaster Tackett, he was born March 9, 1885, and had been a lifelong resident of Staffordsville where he engaged in farming. He was a member of the United Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Bertha Caudill Tackett, two daughters, Mrs. Belva Hampton of this city; Mrs. A. C. Collins, Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Carl Tackett, Leander; Sammie Tackett, Allen. Funeral services were conducted from the Old Union Baptist Church at Staffordsville at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, March 15, with Lonza Reed, J. T. Bailey and Florida Lyons as officiating ministers.
