COUNTY RESIDENT DIED WEDNESDAY
SERVICES TO BE FRIDAY FOR MRS. DORA TACKETT

Mrs. Dora Bayes Tackett, 68, of Staffordsville died Wednesday
morning in a local hospital following a short illness.

Born October 15, 1888, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of
Leander and Elizabeth Bayes. She was a menber of the Freewill
Baptist Church.

She was married in 1901 to Sandford Tackett, who preceded her in
death in September 1955.

Surviving are three sons, Sherman Tackett, Volga, Herschell
Tackett, Staffordsville and Harvey Tackett, Thealka, five
daughters, Mrs. O. T. Brown, Mrs. Thomas Conley, and Mrs. William
H.. McKenzie, all of Staffordsville, Mrs. Glen Pelphrey,
Hueysville, and Mrs. Melvin Blair, Lowmansville, one brother, Arch
Bayes, Hager Hill, and two sisters, Mrs. Rollie Cunningham,
Portsmith, Ohio, and Mrs. Leonard Spears, Naples, Ky.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the Staffordsville
United Baptist Church with Scott Castle and Lonzo Reed as
officiating ministers.

Burial will be made in the family cemetery.
