Frank Spradlin Dies August 6
Mr. Frank Spradlin 72 year old farmer of Staffordsville died at his
home Aug. 6, 10:50 a.m. of a stroke.
Born March 8, 1893, the son of John W. and Rosa Spradlin, he was a
resident of Staffordsville all his life and a member of the Free Will
Baptist Church.
Surviving are the widow, Mattie Taylor Spradlin, three daughters;
Mrs. Sidney Fraley, Springfield, VA; Mrs. Tom Stapleton, Volga, KY;
Mrs. Homer Ledford, Winchester, KY and 12 grandchildren. Other
survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Bruce Wiley, Mrs. Oscar
Williams, City; Mrs. Arzie Conley, Van Lear.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug 8 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel
of the Preston Funeral Home, with Rev Ellis Hamilton and Rev Claude
Preston officiating.
Burial was in the Taylor Cemetery at Staffordsville under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
