Passes Friday

A. M. Salyer, 76 resident of Oil Springs died at his home Friday.

The son of Joseph and Mary Blanton Salyer, he was born December 22,
1877, in Johnson County. He was a member of the United Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Phillips Salyer in
November 1953.

Surviving are two sons, Earl Salyer, Oil Springs, Oval Salyer,
Springfield, Ohio, and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Ross, Flat Gap, and
Mrs. Sarah Estep.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Flat Gap United Baptist
Church with Tommie Bailey an Lonza Reed as officiating ministers.

Burial was made in the family cemetery under the direction of the
Paintsville Funeral Home.
