GEORGE PRICE
1877-1959
  
George Price, 81, well-known resident of this city, died at his
home on West Main at 9:00 a.m., Monday, February 23, after an
illness of six months.
  
He was the son of the late Harlin and Louvicie Price and was born
in Johnson County June 10, 1877.  He was a member of the United
Baptist Church.
  
He was married fifty-one years ago to Bessie Fairchild, who
survives.
  
Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Atha Daniel, of this city.
  
Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m., today from the home
with Thurman Ferguson as officiating minister.
  
Burial was in the Van Hoose Cemetery at Nippa.
