STELLA PRATER
1890-1973
Stella Prater, 83, of Whitehouse, succumbed Wednesday, February 21 at
a local hospital after an extended illness.
The daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Osborne Phillips, she was born
in Johnson County in April 1890.
Mrs. Prater was a member of the United Baptist Church. Her husband,
Sherman Prater died in 1932. Survivors include a son, Clyde Prater of
West Van Lear, and two daughters, Ruby Spradlin and Ella Mae Wiley
both of Whitehouse.
Services were held Saturday, February 24 at the Whitehouse Enterprise
Baptist Church with C. J. Sparks officiating.
Burial was in the Osborne Cemetery at Whitehouse. The Jones-Preston
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
