TELAH PELPHREY 1881-1955 Mrs. Telah Caudill Pelphrey, 73, wife of Charles Pelphrey of Staffordsville, died at her home Sunday (Sep.11 1955) afternoon following an illness of two months. She had been a resident of West Van Lear for 35 years prior to moving to Staffordsville 5 years ago. The daughter of the late Stephen and Jencie Fairchilds Caudill, she was born September 19, 1881 in Johnson County. She had been a member of the United Baptist Church for 60 years. Surviving besides the husband are one brother, Ben Caudill of Dayton, Ohio; and one sister, Mrs. Grant Rice, Oil Springs. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the home with Lonza Reed as officiating minister. Burial was made in the Jayne Cemetery at Staffordsville under the direction of the Jones and Preston Funeral Home.
