LENA MAE PACK
1897-1983
Mrs. Lena Mae Carter Pack, 85, died January 28 in Riverview Manor
Nursing Home, Prestonsburg, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Pack was born September 2, 1897, in Lincoln County, W. Va.,
the daughter of William and Grace Johnson Carter.
She was a resident of River and a member of the Baker Branch
Freewill Baptist Church.
Her husband, L. C. Pack, preceded her in death January 12, 1973.
Surviving are a son, Fred Pack, Wise, Va.; three daughters, Verla
Wiley, Paintsville, Mabel Daniel, River, and Grace Daniel,
Middleton, Ohio; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held January 30 in Baker Branch Freewill
Baptist Church with James Kelly Caudill and Vennie Vanhoose
officiating.
Burial was in Butcher Cemetery, Whitehouse, under the direction of
Dunn-Kelly Funeral Home.
Preston Funeral Home handled local arrangements.
